Abstract:
The article touches upon the fundamental methodological approaches to the formation of skills in foreign language business communication. Educational-speech situations are viewed as the main tool for the formation of students' business communication skills and abilities, since these situations make it possible to reconstruct in a transformed form the conditions of communication that are most significant for educational purposes. The compulsory components of an educational-speech situation, as well as the features of such situations when teaching business communication are noted. The stages of the step-by-step formation of the intercultural business communication patterns are described in the context of the situational approach, tasks that correspond to the specific features of each stage are proposed. The specific characteristics of speech training for professional communication in the context of the implementation of the communicative approach are considered. The concept of a communicative task is described as a means of controlling a student's speech behavior in a specific situation and at the same time a stimulus for his or her speech activity, as well as the advantage of a communicative task from a methodological point of view. The necessity of using gaming technologies in communication-oriented teaching is justified. The term "role-play" is clarified, one of the classifications of role-plays is given, and the main provisions of this technology are described. The characteristics of the business game as the highest stage of teaching a foreign language for professional communication and recommendations of business games usage in the educational process are given.
