Abstract:
The objective of the course "Pre-project and soft skills development for engineers" is to add to and improve the "toolbox" that students carry after completing their engineering programs.
The teaching method and the nature of the teaching were adjusted to accommodate the constraints of COVID19.
This article discusses the new methodology as well as the students' reactions to change and the expectation of innovative - integrated teaching in the future.
An online survey was conducted among 88 students enrolled in the "Pre-project and soft skills development for engineers" course as a compulsory course in electrical and electronics engineering studies.
Students are expected to study their own lesson plans. How will the students learn the curriculum? Arrays can be instructed face-to-face or online synchronously.
Which is more effective for students? In front of the computer at home? In front of a computer on campus? With other students in class?
In certain topics in the course, students prefer to study online rather than come to campus for face-to-face instruction. Even in online learning, many students prefer to meet with the lecturer in an online session rather than study entirely independently.
The survey asked the students to mark the "difficult" and challenging topics in the course. Topics requiring students to complete assignments and invest time on assignments were rated as "difficult" by their choice. Units that included a lot of theoretical material were not defined as "difficult" and challenging. Keywords:
