Abstract:
This period of global warming and pollution of land, sea, and air, requires environmental awareness to ecological issues, as well as education of the future generation that will guarantee a better and greener future.

That's exactly what we do in the "Green Ambassadors" course: which operates for the last 5 years within the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies, via the Dean of Students, at HIT Holon Institute of Technology.

Students acquire knowledge concerning ecology and the environment, then plan and develop effective experiential activities, teach and write scientific material. In addition, they are exposed to the various sectors of Israeli society - Secular, National-Religious, ultra-Orthodox, and Arabs.

Environmental and ecological knowledge is made accessible to the community and children of elementary schools in the following fields: air pollution, water contamination, soil contamination, waste and recycling, efficient use of energy, renewable energy, ecology, and sustainability.

In this article, we discuss ways to adapt the program and it's teaching methods to each school in all sectors of Israeli society: Secular, Arab (the spoken language is not Hebrew), Religious (national-religious), and ultra-Orthodox - Haredi (taught in separate classes for boys and girls).
