Abstract:
The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (ZSF JU) has an excellent position in the Czech Republic, especially thanks to the interconnection of health and social topics.

The study programme must be in line with the valid professional study programmes of the European Union countries and must correspond to the basic principles of education of health professionals. The paper focuses on the education of non-medical health professions and ethical aspects in the past, present and distance learning. Education is a complex process that consists of learning or acquiring knowledge, skills, values, practical skills, morals and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, discussion, focused research, and hands-on learning in hospitals. Education is conducted under the guidance of teachers and practitioners, but students can now also learn more through self-study.

Ethics in healthcare is what guides the work of healthcare professionals. In addition, ethics helps to promote trust in the healthcare system by ensuring that healthcare professionals act in the best interests of the patient. The concept of a code of ethics, which sets out guidelines for the professional conduct of non-medical health professionals and their ethical obligations, is still relevant in the health sector.
