Abstract:
There has been a lack of use cases showing a preparation of in service k-12 educators to deal with advanced web based technology within transdisciplinary reflections and human computer interactions for stimulating individuals’ multiliteracies. This work has addressed the mentioned problem through presenting a collaborative educational process of engaging k-12 educators in transdisciplinary learning and teaching attitudes supported by utilizing advanced web based two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) production and information visualization tools. Individuals’ transdisciplinary reflections, interactions and educational attitudes have brought about ones’ multiliteracies skills enhancements. And have also resulted in educators’ lifelong learning and teaching actions through using web based languages such as HTML, the X3Dom framework and platforms like blogs as supports for stimulating k-12 students researching, authoring and publishing digital content interrelating English and Portuguese languages, geometry and math concepts and techniques. It includes instigating students’ improving their digital competencies for dealing with web based information production and visualization technologies.
