Abstract:
Europe is the region with the highest population of Elder Generation. The quality of elderly life and the socio-economic impact are improved by learning active ageing behaviors (Luque, 2007; Tam, 2013, 2014). Recent studies show that ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) could promote active ageing by websites optimized for elders, serious games or exergames (Pérez, 2012). To include the ICT as an strategy to improve the quality of elderly life, it’s necessary a specific learning linked with technology itself (Ortoll, 2007). The aim of this research is to identify the barriers to incorporate the ICT as an instrument to learn those behaviors. It was applied the Delphi method, based on the “Equipment and uses of ICT in households” INE (Statistic Institute of Spain) survey data, with 6 contributors/evaluators. The results show that there are some economic and social barriers and also shows that there are several differences between political regions and gender that is necessary to overcome to foster an active ageing. Keywords:
