Abstract:
Ensinar e Aprender Português (EAP) is a structured and innovative educational resource, supported by the use of Information and Communication Technologies, whose aims are: to support the teaching and learning of reading and writing in portuguese by 1st grade students and to signal and support students "at risk" of learning difficulties in reading and writing in a timely manner. The EAP presents screening and monitoring tests as well as didactic sequences and other curricular activities based on scientific evidence, structured according to the principles of Multilevel Models.
This presentation presents preliminary data on the study of the impact of this technological resource in the classroom, both at Portuguese language learning by 1st grade students and in teaching practices, through the study of interactions between content, technology and pedagogy according to the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge - TPACK framework.
The sample consists of 250 1st grade students and 11 teachers from 10 public clusters schools in mainland Portugal that are using the EAP digital resource. The measures used include questionnaires and semi-structured interviews.
In terms of results, it is expected that the EAP technological resource shows potential in terms of improving 1st grade students' reading and writing learning and supporting teaching practices through the application of didactic sequences, tools and functionalities, both in face-to-face teaching and distance learning. Keywords:
