Abstract:
In this presentation and paper, I introduce the result of a non-representative survey from different European countries on the effectiveness of teachers' presence within school but out of their classroom work. Many health and education experts argue that recess might be a necessary activity for child development, and therefore parents have begun to advocate for more recess time. Previous research shows us clearly that quality daily recess-time is necessary component of the school curriculum that enable students to develop physical competence, health-related fitness, self-responsibility, widening their interests and enjoyment of physical activity so that they can be physically and mentally active for a lifetime. But what is the function of the teachers in organizing and leading these kinds of activities? How effectively they can plan the content of this time spent out of the classroom? In my present work, the statistically proved and documented results of this questionnaire show the importance of active and apprehensive ubiety of teachers during the students' free time or recess-time in school. The teachers' attendance without valuable and meaningful plot and content pulls back our students in their favourite or useful activities. Beside the statistical evidence I present some well-functioning practices of meaningful teacher-activities and initiations improving the students' interests and active recreation out of the classroom work from different states and countries of the US and Europe. This presentation and its information is mainly vital one for beginner teachers who basically concentrate on their subject based instruction at the beginning of their professional carrier. Keywords:
