Abstract:
Pearson is the educational leading company and we aim to help people make progress in their lives through learning. At Pearson, we believe in learning - all kinds of learning for all kinds of people.

We’ve invested in technologies to engage and build confidence in learners, while simultaneously helping educators track their students’ progress more effectively.

Today we will be presenting you an interactive student response tool. Learning Catalytics is a “bring your own device” student engagement, assessment, and classroom intelligence system. Students use their device to answer different type of questions. The system can be used to support peer instruction, Just-in-Time Teaching and flipped classroom pedagogies, and its effective use has been shown to increase attendance and engagement, which impact positively on student success.
