Abstract:
The environmental themes should be taught on all levels of education in order to raise students' awareness of the environmental problems that the planet has been experiencing lately, generating awareness and showing them that conservation and environmental care efforts will enhance the future of the next generations.
This paper describes a study about the inclusion of environmental and sustainable development themes with a group of 30 students from the Fundamentals of Administration subject.
The purpose of this work is to develop in the students the understanding of the interrelation that exists between the environment and the management of companies with the purpose to have the capacity to make responsible business decisions and that strive to maintain the sustainable balance between society and the environment.
The methodology of this research involved discussions about the role of companies in environmental conservation, dynamics, videos and scientific papers about the environmental problem during four months, including the elaboration of a questionnaire that was applied on the last day of class.
With this research it was possible to generate in the participants a concern about the care of the environment and an interest and respect between the sustainable balance and society. We will also describe the results obtained through the evaluation applied with the participants about the including environmental and sustainable development themes in the Fundamentals of Business Administration class.Keywords:
