Abstract:
Nowadays with the advance of technology, the innovations and the access to many academic contents that are free on the internet in different search engines for consultation and download increase the famous cut and paste of information online and consequently, the problem of plagiarism and also of the violation against the author's right.

This work has the purpose to describe the ethics and the good and bad practices in the research and to report a study that was carried out with teacher and university students in Mexico about the importance to make aware the school community in academic integrity.
For this study, the research was divided in three stages:

In the first stage a workshop with a duration of 30 hours was designed using the Moodle platform with themes of ethics and good and bad practices, applying case studies that supported the participants in the definition of ethics, good and bad practices in research and to establish the negative consequences for researchers when bad practices are resorted to. The evaluation instruments to verify the learning about the ethics were elaborated at this part too.

The second phase consisted onthe application of the workshop with a group of 60 students and the use of Turnitin, a tool for the detection of similarities in academic work.

In the third stage, the evaluation instruments were applied and analyzed, the change of attitude about the research practices of the participants was measured and the main causes of rejection of the scientific publications were identified on this work.
