Abstract:
Literacy is now usually associated with various attributes. Digital is among those which are now often referred to. Digital literacy is divided into many sections. Creating and editing texts on the computer is one of them. Automation of various acts in this area can be achieved by using macros. This is the highest level that can be reached in a word processor. Based on the results of the course Introduction to Text Information Processing, we examined how manage to work with macros Natural Science Studies students in the first semester at the beginning of university study. We divided students into two groups. Students field of study Informatics in Education formed the first group. Into the second group, we included students remaining fields of study program Natural Science Studies (biology, physics, geography, chemistry, mathematics). The course was teaching through a blended learning. Our study focused on the impact of various factors that may affect the performance of tasks, which were aimed at creating and recording macros (such as previous experience with e-courses, choice of field of study, declared knowledge of macros and preferred word processor).
