Abstract:
The Strategic Plan of the Universitat Jaume I for the period 2016-2018, commited with the society progress, includes among its values the promotion of cooperation for the development and the strengthening of the territory, acccording to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

In the Final Degree Project the students are expected to demonstrate their ability to integrate both the knowledge, acquired throughout the learning process in the different subjects of the degree, with the competences and skills developed throughout it.

The objective of this study is to highlight and justify the importance of strengthening the binominal education and development throught the incorporation of SDGs in the Final Degree Project subject of the Tourism Degree. The tourism degree of Universitat Jame I is selected as an objetive degree for studying the implementation of these sustainable objectives as for the acquired transversality of the tourist activity in a territory, involving important socio-economic, historical and cultural facts.

Therefore, following this social approach tourism is presented as an instrument that contributse to the sustainable development of the tourist destinations, rather than as an objective in itself. In line with the transversality of tourism field, another factor that supports the adoption of the SDGs in the final degree project subject lies in the fact 3 faculties and 14 knowledge are involved in the teaching development of the tourism degree.
