Abstract:
We share the experience of university professors, who expressed their opinion on the contribution of the pharmacology program in the acquisition of eight competencies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. This exercise that collects opinions is an academic challenge, given the change in the educational paradigm.

Methodology:
The opinion of the participants was explored through a written instrument, which allows knowing the opinion and experience of each teacher.

Results:
The teachers felt that the Pharmacology program contributes substantially to the acquisition of three of the competences and partially to the remaining five.

Conclusions:
According to the participants, the contribution of the Pharmacology program in the acquisition of the eight competences of the Study Plan is heterogeneous. Less than 40% of the teachers participated in this exercise, similar works by other colleague’s report resistance to participation and change. The authors believe that the collaboration of all teachers is essential, and it is necessary to investigate the reasons for correcting this behavior.
