Abstract:
Creativity is considered essential in the development of the individual and it becomes relevant for research in Psychology. Therefore, identifying indicators of creativity is one of the most important factors that help describe intelligence.
It is a concept that increasingly takes more importance in the field of education and, consequently, in finding ways for evaluation. Perhaps the main difficulty is how to define this concept, but increasingly found in the daily life of any subject more obvious signs of creativity: in different ways to solve problems that manifest themselves in new search strategies, in different contributions to the usual, in creating original products and unique responses, etc.
The PCGI test, published by the Editorial INGENIA, is a tool that assesses creativity in children: graphic creativity as well as cognitive characteristics possessed by the subject. The child is given four drawings linked by a straight line. The stimulus has different shapes that evoke representations of objects in the child mind, which the subject finally materializes in drawings.
The research methodology followed to create the test can be summarized in several phases: test design, pilot and final test, and selection of samples and variables or indicators of creativity to be measured.
