Abstract:
Spanish universities are involved the in well-known Bologna process. This European Space for Higher education has involved the creation of closer links between universities within the same country. Specifically, this educational framework has changed the traditional structure of our university system into degrees and masters. New subjects and courses are now offered.
A comparative study is provided within the Statistics and Financial Management subjects of the Degree in Business Administration and Management and Degree in Finance and Accounting, offered at 39 and 15 public universities, respectively, in Spain. Capabilities, previous knowledge, active methodologies,… are some of the different starting points affected by the different courses in which the subjects considered are now located.

Current situation is reviewed and prior advantages and disadvantages are considered. Results showed are essential to be taken into account in the development of adaptative educational methodologies that make the learning process as effective, efficient and motivating as possible.
