Abstract:
In the EEES context, the need for a more didactic and applied teaching process in Statistics has motivated the development of new methodology experiences to adapt this subject to ECTS system. In particular, new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are considered a useful instrument to improve the quality of the educational process. A virtual and interactive teaching-platform is developed to facilitate e-learning and promote active virtual learning. This platform is used as support and complement of traditional teaching. Both traditional materials and multimedia resources are offered to complete the process of self-learning. Homework activities are virtualized. The web site promotes the follow-up of the classes without attendance, serves as a support for sending and evaluating the homework proposed. Therefore, this innovative virtual experience allows teachers to know the reality of the new education-learning framework in a more complete and reliable way.
