Abstract:
Nowadays, the University must offer not only knowledge but also learning in competencies and skills both generic and specific (see project 'Tuning Educational Competences in Europe’ 2003) to facilitate the access to world of work for the students.

In particular, the skills, capabilities and requirements needed by a professional in the Social Work area include both psychological and cognitive abilities in interpersonal relations. It is necessary that students acquire critical capacity and a set of skills such as the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, the ability to adapt to new situations, skills in oral and written communication, information search, solving problems... So, the traditional educational system must change to a different model, focused on the students learning and supported by active methodologies (MEC 2003).

To enhance the acquisition of the capacity for teamwork, we have proposed, for the subject of Statistics, the implementation of a Learning Agreement (LA) where students define roles and/or distribute responsibilities and homework. Finally, the activities proposed in the LA serve as a partial evaluation tool in Applied Statistics. In this paper we consider a review about the acquisition of the main abilities above considered, through the work developed.
