Abstract:
Our proposal aims to demonstrate innovative AI integrations in educational settings, focusing on literature, culture, and language classrooms. We explore practical applications such as AI-generated prompts for language learning, scripts for AI agents in literature discussions, exploration of cultural biases in AI, and the gamification of the writing process. These applications are designed not only to enhance learning but also to follow key recommendations for educational leaders, emphasizing the importance of keeping humans in the AI loop. This ensures that AI tools act as collaborators, not replacements, in the learning process, and that we align AI tools with our educational vision, emphasizing custom learning experiences that privilege equity and inclusion. By presenting case studies and outcomes from classrooms that have adopted these AI integrations, we will showcase how these tools can be tailored to support diverse learning objectives, fostering an environment where technology enhances human interaction rather than diminishing it.

Our presentation will provide actionable insights for educators on leveraging AI's potential safely and effectively, mitigating risks while enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in literature, culture, and language education. Through this, we aim to contribute to a broader understanding of how AI can support educational equity and excellence, aligning technology use with the core values of inclusivity and personalized learning.
