Abstract:

The main purpose of this paper is provide a brief overview based on the result of theoretical survey of the possibilities of education in the field of Security. The theoretical survey was conducted on the state and private universities in the Slovak and Czech Republic. The attention is focused mainly on the analysis and comparison of the level of diversity and importance of gaining the knowledge about implementation and using of video surveillance system (VSS). It is a system providing the capability of recording, collecting and saving the purposeful information content. That information obtained in this way may be used to make a decision to increase safety level. VVS is one of the possibilities, how the security issues can be resolved. The security at the municipality level is significantly related to security at the national and international level. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure sufficient educational possibilities in the field of security for the staff municipalities, but also other persons, who are interested in such issue. The aim of this paper is not only to point out the current state of educational in VSS, but also examine the course information sheets, types, extents and methods of teaching activities and approaches used in educational process in chosen universities.
