Abstract:
In 2010, a major change in the approach to classical university education was experimented with entry into force of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The search for a more effective training of students has changed the role of the teacher and the student as well as the traditional teaching methodologies. In this educational system, it is necessary to promote the acquisition of knowledge, abilities and skills of the student through continuous evaluations, exams, practices, seminars or interactive activities that increase their motivation.

In recent years, different innovative and interactive teaching techniques have been developed and implemented. In this context, the student response systems (SRS) can be used to increase the motivation and training of students. This paper describes how the SRS were used in practical classes of Introduction to Business Management subject. This subject is taught in the first year of the Mechanical Engineering Degree of Defense University Center at the Spanish Naval Academy. Different questions were proposed and the immediate feedback was register. Obtained results by each student/group were saved thanks to the ability of this interactive tool to store information. The data collected were analyzed and discussed in this work with the objective of checking if the use of this type of tools helps to stimulate learning. In addition, at the end of the session an opinion survey was completed by the participants with the aim of identifying the limitations and possibilities of this technique.
