Abstract:
In the last decade, teaching strategies have been influenced by the use of technology to improve the students’ learning process. This has opened new alternatives in teaching for teachers and students. Teachers can teach through online resources and also evaluate the students using online tests; and students can learn at any time or location and participate more actively in their learning process. Several studies have proved the effectiveness of preparing and conducting exams using Questions-Bank.

In this context, this paper presents the use of random testing in the assessment process and the comparison with the exams papers. Random testing has been considered one of the most fundamental and popular software testing methods due to its simplicity and easy implementation. In random testing, questions are placed separately in a database called Questions-Bank. Next, the tests are created using questions randomly selected from this Questions-Bank. As a result, each candidate takes an exam different from the other students. This evaluation system was carried out at Defense University Center at the Spanish Naval Academy with students of the second course of the Mechanical Engineering Degree.
