Abstract:
This study tries to figure out mathematical and digital skills during the teaching process of potential flow of fluids, using Wolfram Mathematics software, in the course “Matemáticas Aplicadas a la Aeronáutica (MAA)” at “Facultad Regional Haedo, Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (FRH-UTN)”. Lesson plans on potential flow was outlined, where the students worked in groups using Wolfram Mathematica software, online version to solve them. The lesson plans were divided into activities related to applications, representation, understanding, research, exploration and analysis of elemental potential flows. In order to assess the mathematical and digital skills involved in these activities, a rubric instrument was created. This article shows the activities of the lesson plans, the rubric and the outcomes obtained. Results show that the students have several difficulties in mathematical and digital skills. This process requires dedication and detailed planification.
