Abstract:
The specificity of the modern global world is its continuous and rapid variability. The situation of the pandemic, which has put the Russian education system in strict contactless conditions, has shown a number of existing problems. Students who study Russian as a foreign language have lost the opportunity to personally visit museums, theaters, shopping centers, where they face situations of unprepared communication and learn most of the information about the culture and history of the country of the language they are studying. That is why, Russian language teachers at Kazan Federal University needed to review the methodology of teaching Russian in distance education in order to maintain and even increase foreign students' interest in learning Russian in Russia. Research educational projects developed in the context of distance education and successfully defended on the Microsoft Teams platform have become relevant and very interesting for students. This article describes the experience of using the project "Ergonymy of Kazan" in classes of Russian as a foreign language for the first-year students of the Institute of international relations. The work was attended by 15 students studying in the direction of "Linguistics". The relevance of the chosen topic due to the fact that ergonomy (names of city objects) have a great national-cultural potential, which undoubtedly contributes to a better understanding of the Russian language and Russian culture and history by students from other countries. The novelty of the research is that students studied the names of city objects independently for the first time. When writing the project, the following methods were used: the method of continuous sampling of names of urban objects, the method of classification, the method of content analysis, etymological analysis, statistical data processing, and others. In addition, before the writing of the project and after the defense, a survey was conducted to record the level of students' cognitive activity, which demonstrated positive results. Significant progress of project activities include the following skills: growth of cognitive interest in the studied material, interest in the Russian language and Russian national thinking, increase in motivation for learning, growth of students' creative activity, disclosure of their creative potential; formation of independence and responsibility in the process of work; broadening the horizons of students; creating conditions for cooperation relations; developing teamwork skills; the ability to find and process information independently in conditions of remote interaction.
