Abstract:
The article discusses the process of teaching Russian to foreign students of Kazan Federal University. As a rule, students from different countries (China, Spain, Moldova, Turkey and others) meet in groups, all students are carriers of their culture; therefore the principle of tolerance is basic in a multicultural space. Teaching Russian as a foreign language is aimed at meeting the communicative needs of foreign students in educational, professional, social and cultural areas of communication. This goal determines the specifics of teaching methods. In the process of teaching, the teacher faces a number of problems: different religions of students, multi-structural languages as relatives, different rates of learning, a wrong understanding of the national traditions of Russia, lack of knowledge about the historical figures of the country of the language being studied and others. In this regard, modern technologies and methods are actively involved in the teaching process, including electronic educational resources, online testing of lexical and grammatical blocks of the curriculum, city tours with audio guides in Russian, as well as micro-education and flipped class. The use of modern approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language has increased the efficiency of learning and accelerated the process of mastering Russian. This fact confirms the pedagogical experiment conducted among the first and second year students of Kazan Federal University, studying in the direction of "Linguistics". The experimental groups revealed a high motivation to learn the language and a higher academic performance compared with the control groups.
