Abstract:
In this contribution we deal with experimental implementation of immerse education into the Czech kindergartens. Issues like this are very rare in the Czech environment. In the Czech Republic we can commonly encounter with the bilingual education at public primary schools or secondary schools, but the pre-primary education focuses on the foreign language only in a form of free time clubs for children that occur in the afternoon hours with the Czech tutors. Immerse teaching, which taking place the whole day when the children are in the kindergarten with the native speaker and the Czech teacher, is in the Czech Republic new experience for the public kindergarten. For this reasons we were interested in the opinion of the parents and teachers about the implementation of this type of institutional education. The aim of the contribution is to find out through the thematic questionnaires the attitude of parents and preschool teachers to the immerse education. Furthermore, we want to find out the attitude of parents of children and their teachers in the kindergartens to the foreign languages and level of their foreign language skills, their opinions and their own experience in context of the acquaintance of preschool children with the foreign language. It is possible to establish specific aim like investigation of attitudes of the respondents towards the Chinese language and their theoretical interest in the Chinese language teaching for the children of pre-primary education.
