Abstract:
Citizenship education is the basis of society stability and in the research is presented as a guaranty of its democratic development. It is presented as 4 interrelated components civil values, civil knowledge, civil skills and active citizenship disposition component. The comparative analysis of curricular and programs frameworks revealed main subjects that allow to form active citizens in Russia and their impact on civic knowledge content. Global democratic values in Russia are introduced into educational process according to national, social, cultural and historical traditions. Citizenship education in research is viewed as a support of society stability and a guaranty of its democratic development. The research of student’s activities that allow deliver to students civic knowledge are viewed through different level activities and through the number of disciplines. Research of socio-cultural value is also based on the global, national, regional, local, institutional and individual levels, socio-political value of citizenship education allows to understand it as a mechanism of society changing and developing through democratic processes. So citizenship education is understood as a socio-pedagogical phenomenon.
