Abstract:
This research delves into the significance of incorporating visual design elements and aesthetics to support the Tri Dharma implementation effectively in higher learning environments. Tri Dharma encompasses teaching and learning (T&L), research, and community service, which are crucial aspects of institutions of higher education. Specifically, this study focuses on the role of visual principles in designing optimal learning experiences for students in the design field. This research highlights the importance of integrating visual elements to enhance teaching in higher education, research, and community engagement.

Additionally, it examines the incorporation of a constructivist-based learning environment that emphasizes active student participation, collaboration, and experiential learning.

This study used a qualitative approach, including observation, semi-structured interviews, and informant trials. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on effective strategies for cultivating a holistic learning atmosphere for design students by analyzing the interplay between visual design elements and the Tri Dharma environments.
