Abstract:

The paper deals with Eye track technology. Eye track is scientific device which can monitor movement of human eyes and discover where user looks. Eye tracking firstly appear at early 50´s of last century. At early phases it used mechanical methods. These methods were using mirrors, infrared light and photographic material. Later possibility was usage of electro-static and video-based methods. All of these methods can be unpleasant for testing subjects. Using eyetrack technology in educational institutions can bring several benefits to improve marketing and other activities of educational institutions.

The paper explains the basic methods of eye movements monitoring, both passive and active. Usage of Eye track technologies in educational institutions is in the passive monitoring methods. We explain general use of technology in many areas.

In the third part of the paper we described specific problematic of usage of Eye track in educational institutions. Eye track technology is suitable for improvement of web pages, for graphic visualization of study materials and in the creation of advertising materials.
