The experimental research design is adopted and divided the respondents into experimental group and control group. There are two types of instruments have been used in this research which are questionnaire and test to find out the impact of motivation towards student’s achievement through the usage of DST approach in teaching and learning Malay Language. Analysis of mean, t-test and correlation are used to measure the differences in pre-test and post-test results as well as the students’ motivation. This study shows that DST approach in teaching and learning had increased students’ motivation (min=4.51) and improved students’ achievements (min=89.1, t=6.074).
