Abstract:
Modern challenges in the field of education are determined by the changing situation in society. The processes associated with the widespread transmission of the deadly respiratory virus Covid-19 on a global scale have actualized the problem of organizing distance learning in higher professional education. This study summarizes the experience of distance learning a foreign language for students in the field of chemistry. The author talks about the introduction of such teaching technologies as learning through social networks, implementation of Ted-talks website into teaching practice, the activation of students' creative activity through the implementation of the project method. The author shares his experience in teaching a professional foreign language and introducing information technology resources into teaching practice. Monitoring of the obtained results of teaching chemistry students showed the effectiveness of the application of these technologies, and the data from a survey of students prove the need for a creative approach to the problem of further improving the process of distance education
