Abstract:
At the University Jaume I, Chemistry studies have been adapted to the new European Higher Education Area system (EEES), including the use of European Credits Transfer System (ECTS). Chemistry studies are nowadays taught as 4-year grades, whereas the previous system was a 5-years grade system. The course syllabus of the EEES grade-matter have been proposed by adaptation of those of previous system-matters, considering the new didactical methodologies, the new evaluation method and the lower duration of the grade. Therefore, the main challenge of the teachers is how to reduce the duration of the matter without affecting the content and the didactical quality.

The matter "Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry (QU912)" has been included in the second year of the Chemistry Grade curricula. This laboratory matter is divided in five groups and is taught by four professors. Its content has been developed from the previous-system matter "Chemistry Laboratory I (IA05)". The paper here described details the modifications performed to adapt the matter to the EEES requirements in terms of content, didactical methodology, evaluation and duration. Moreover, the coordination work between the professors to organize and perform the content, material, themes, theory, laboratory, problems, tutorials and evaluation, was also detailed.
