Abstract:
The University Jaume I has adapted the Chemistry Studies to the new European Higher Education Area (EHEA) system, including the use of European Credits Transfer System (ECTS). The main changes of the didactical methodology are, the evaluation system, the increasing of the focusing on the student, and the reduction of the grade duration from 5 years to 4 years. The matters and the course syllabi taught at the new EHEA grade have been mainly proposed by the adaptation, scission or fusion of the previous-curriculum matters considering the new idiosyncrasy of the reform and especially the lower duration of the grade. The teachers involved in the development of the curricular and in the teaching of the new matters face to the challenge of correctly perform this adaptation without affecting the didactical quality. This is a difficult task considering that the duration of the matter has to be shortened to fit the lower duration of the whole grade.

The matter "Chemistry II (QU910)" has been included in the second semester of the first course of the EHEA Chemistry grade curriculum. This matter includes theory and seminaries and is taught by two professors from different areas. Its course syllabus has been suggested from the previous curricula-subject "Chemistry II (IA05)". The work details the modifications performed to adapt the matter to the EHEA requirements in terms of duration, content, didactical methodology and evaluation. Moreover, the coordination work between the professors to organize and teach the content, didactical material, themes, theory, problems, tutorials and evaluation, was also detailed
