Abstract:
The study investigates the influence of Information Communication Technology (ICT) training on Lecturers’ role performance in South-South Geo-political zone of Nigeria. Ex-post facto design will be adopted for the study in three federal universities randomly selected in the area of study. Two research questions and two research hypotheses will guide the study. Two structured questionnaires titled: “ICT Training (ICTT)” and “University Lecturers’ Role Performance (ULRP)” will be utilized to elicit appropriate responses for the study. ICTT will be administered to 800 lecturers, randomly selected, in the area of study and ULRP will be administered to randomly selected students in the ratio of three students per lecturer (3:1), to asses individual lecturer in the area of study. Data obtained will be analyzed using One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Independent t-test as appropriate. Recommendations will be proffered based on the findings of the study.
