Abstract:
The guidelines set by the European Higher Education in the definitions of new University degrees, master and doctorate courses bet on the acquisition of skills viewed as "knowledge in context." In this sense we can say that higher education must foster a lifelong plan that includes professional development.
One of the competencies that must be analyzed with a special interest in this framework is the realization of team work in the different areas that make a teaching plan. This competence fully fits with the idea of “expertise in context” and clearly is an enhancer element within the deep approach in the learning process. We should also take into account that many of the generic competencies (that must be covered by the new titles) are already involved in the development of such activities.
Moreover, there is no doubt that this type of activity represents a major effort of teachers in the work of monitoring and evaluating students. This work aims to provide all University teachers with a tool that offers a "possible way" for the evaluation of team-work proposals. On the one hand, it could be used for the evaluation of the work done by peers "from different teams", and on the other hand, the internal evaluation of the attitudes of their own colleagues within their team. The use of this type of assessment techniques involves many other skills that would be desirable to instil among our students, such as the self-critical capacity, concerns about quality, time management, etc.
To this end, the creation of a specific module for the Web platform "Moodle" is proposed. With this module, students can attach their work, qualify it and evaluate the contributions from their peers "within the team". Teachers can design the necessary questionnaires following their own systems of evaluation, establish working teams, assign the evaluations, and finally get the results of the evaluation process in different formats. Keywords:
