Abstract:

As in many other areas, it is still in search of new methods in the art education. In the developing countries, the relationship between the art and the community's life and the lack of communication, can create problems for the artist in society's perception. This study aimed to improve dialogue and communication between people who receive art training and people involved in the public sphere.

In the scope of this study, 24 different characters from the public sphere were selected and interviews were conducted . These interviews were photographed completely, was created a visual archive. 19 students in the project, has been involved as an artist. Each student has maintained his meetings with the person interviewed and works of portrait was carried out by taking advantage of the photos taken.

At the end of the study, an exhibition has been opened which consisting of works of art and portraiture by the students. Through this work, the students and the characters from the public sphere who do not find the opportunity to encounter with each other in the normal life have come together and developed a dialogue and communication environment.
