Abstract:
Knowledge is the most significant and renewable supplier of human resources. However, we wonder, are we keeping pace with the approach that we follow for innovation, dissemination of learning, and keeping up with contemporary challenges? To what extent do these approaches prepare us to meet and take advantage of tomorrow's challenges and opportunities? To face these challenges, seize the opportunities that the future holds, and inspire change, we need to redraw what education should be like in the twenty-first century.
We find those involved in developing educational curricula and methods of learning in all disciplines attending consecutive meetings for consultations to develop scenarios, in order to visualize and innovate in line with the requirements of the accelerating era. Therefore, we may need to establish or renew our perception in the field of education, institutions, educational buildings, and schools.
The research aims to study the latest developments in the high school’s science curriculum, as this represents the ability to keep pace with the latest scientific and educational changes, along with the economic, social, and cultural changes in a way that meets the future needs of society and individuals to reach a comprehensive plan. The intention is creating and enabling the school environment that stimulates and attracts the students and the elements of the educational process as well. To achieve a productive educational environment striving by developing educational facilities and schools, sustainably improving the construction structure, and rearranging it with a more attractive body, developing a smart educational environment in schools to stay in tune with modern and technological developments for the twenty-first century.
The research problem lies in the gap between the specialists in curriculum development of the scientific studies, teaching and learning methods in education secondary schools, and professional interior designers. They develop and design educational buildings and schools, to be in line with the requirements for applying the development of curricula, creating standard spaces and dimensions appropriate for modern technical equipment for teaching methods. They compose design concepts that match the educational environment through the elements of interior design and the essential requirements for student comfort within the educational, recreational, and service areas.
The research methodology relies on comparative, investigative, and analytical methods for all smart technical needs, supplies, and equipment. The review of all the standard criteria and evaluate their suitability with the development requirements introduces them in the curricula of schools in the scientific department. This research intends to reach guidelines so the professional interior designers could apply to the interior spaces of secondary schools as the desired result. Such strategies will help the students by creating an educational environment that matches the twenty-first century, helping them and motivating them to innovate and absorb the ever-increasing amount of information.
Additionally, laying the foundations for cooperation and mutual understanding between curriculum developing professionals and interior designers to apply and implement needs with high professionalism and specialism, it achieves the goal of reaching an educational environment for schools that is compatible with the twenty-first century. Keywords:
