Abstract:
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in recent times has witnessed the emergence of not just generative algorithms, but also the evolution towards retrieval-augmented generative algorithms. Initially perceived as a disruptive force endangering existing systems across various sectors, including jobs and education, AI has swiftly transitioned from being perceived as a threat to being embraced as a supportive tool.
This transformation mirrors the historical trajectory of the calculator in educational systems. However, a key disparity lies in the verifiability of outcomes: while the calculator’s results are easily confirmed, AI-generated responses pose a challenge in verification. This presents a unique threat—how can we ensure greater transparency and accountability in AI-generated content?
This paper undertakes an exploration of cutting-edge AI technologies, dissecting their current landscape and implications. It introduces a novel approach termed Education Specific Retrieval Augmented Generative Artificial Intelligence (ES-RAG AI), designed to address the complexities and concerns surrounding AI integration in education. ES-RAG AI seeks to establish a tailored solution that aligns AI capabilities with educational requirements, striving for authenticity, accountability, and enhanced learning experiences. The paper aims to foster a deeper understanding of the evolving role of AI in education and suggests a pathway towards harnessing its potential as a constructive educational tool.Keywords:
