Abstract:
This study aims to estimate the effectiveness of a proposed design af a working environment through which faculty members in the scientific departments of the Faculty of Education, Jazan University, can maintain such academic cooperative duties as holding periodic meetings, exchanging and follow-up of daily performance reports, arranging seminars, exchanging academic consultations in the field of course description, developing educational activities, holding virtual workshops, developing joint research projects, student academic guiding, analyzing the evaluation results of academic curricula, and developing academic plans.
The study adopts a standard benchmark developed by the researcher to gauge academic communication skills and implements a questionnaire to estimate the effectiveness of the proposed virtual network in promoting the culture of quality and academic development among the faculty members. The researcher uses specialized Internet software to create a joint sharepoint workspace through official networks. The study findings has shown a statistically significant at 0.01 for the proposed design of a virtual workspace in the advancement of academic communication skills and the promotion of the culture of quality among the faculty members of the Faculty of Education, Jazan University.
