Abstract:
The purpose of this research is a systematic analysis of organizational and methodological features of language courses and stages of their pedagogical design in relation to the content of training in order to generalize, systematize and apply them to the design of a digital language course, taking into account its content and organizational features.
The research objectives include systematic, comparative and statistical analysis of the most popular language courses based on educational platforms among the university students. The results of systematic theoretical and statistical analysis were used to describe the features of language training of the university students and create an experimental model of an electronic language course, which is based on communicative activity, network and personalized approaches to language training of students.
The research methodology consists in developing an algorithm for compiling an electronic language course based on a systematic and comparative analysis. To do this, the study examined the organizational and methodological features of the language courses of Udemy, Coursera, edX, Stepik, Lectorium, Universarium and some other platforms of open education. The analysis made it possible to systematize, summarize and present the main organizational and methodological characteristics of educational platforms regarding the organization of study and content of language courses. Statistical analysis of the educational content of online language courses allowed us to determine the main educational content, and a survey among the university students allowed us to determine the most popular and effective teaching methods for implementing an electronic language course. The study involved 1663 students and 12 teachers who developed e-language courses for their students. The obtained data allowed the developers to present an experimental model of an electronic educational course, determine the organizational and methodological features of an electronic language course for implementing a personalized online educational course, and monitor learning outcomes using a new, more accurate model of a digital language course for the university students.
As a result of the research, the components of the e-language course model were developed and refined, as well as the features of the pedagogical design of the e-language course for the university students were listed. The results obtained made it possible to formulate and more effectively apply the main stages of the pedagogical design of a digital language course for the university students, based on the provisions of a systematic approach to the development of educational content and organizational and methodological support for a digital foreign language course for the university students.Keywords:
