Abstract:
The formation and implementation of politics for inclusive education in the Bulgarian educational context in the recent years has created a gradual, downturn and progressive transition to segregation of the inclusive education. Inclusive education is a mandatory part of the right to education in Bulgaria, which is legally enforced and largely complies with the recommendations of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Education is a state responsibility, as well as of all institutions, organizations, specialists who can actively participate in the process of educational and social inclusion of children with special needs.

Here, we can find also the role of the modern library, which becomes an ally and a collaborator in the process of inclusive education. The library is a place to enrich, support and enhance the knowledge gained to help the development of the potential of each child. Through its information capacity and capabilities to provide an accessible environment and free access to information from traditional and electronic resources, it helps to build habits for reading and competencies for using and searching information.

The article examines the possibilities offered by libraries in the process of continuing education. We live in a time when there are new political and social circumstances, conditions and opportunities that make the library an active element of the processes of change and rethinking traditional educational patterns as well as the need to respond to the diversity of educational needs to overcome of social and educational isolation.
