Abstract:
The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which spread across the world in a very short time, showed that the whole world, including education, was not prepared to deal with such a crisis. People-to-people meetings as well as meetings between teachers and students became virtual. Teachers therefore had to find ways to keep students interested in learning, through various software or online tools. Teachers at the Faculty of Safety Engineering also used such opportunities. As teaching in the Faculty of Security Engineering mainly uses practical exercises where they try out physical protection practices such as self-defence or the use of security equipment. Therefore, there was a need for teachers to use appropriate and innovative methods to engage students, such as online testing through Kahoot or Padlet use and instructional videos. Tools such as SAVI, SAPE, SATANO were used to facilitate a quantitative approach to the design and evaluation of physical protection systems. This article includes a description of the tools and methods that were used in remote learning physical protection students during the covid-19 pandemic.
