Abstract:
Bullying is one of the most serious negative phenomena that almost every school faces. Unfortunately the age limit of aggressors is moving lower. Detecting bullying in school is often not easy, even if its prevalence is higher than estimated. Bullying happens in the context of social group relationships, so it can occur in any school. Children need to be given explanations and examples of how to prevent bullying or how to behave when they are bullied or witness bullying. Therefore, educators also need to be knowledgeable about how to detect bullying among children and then be able to respond appropriately to such a situation. However, the best way to manage bullying in schools is to prevent it. The study describes a prevention programme designed for primary and secondary school pupils. The prevention programme includes educational lectures, interactive exercises as well as various activities through which pupils will be indirectly educated in the field of eliminating bullying. By applying a prevention programme, it is possible to prevent physical but above all psychological trauma to the victim of bullying.
