Abstract:
In the past years, a significant amount of the new business models have the tendency to become increasingly complex, as the complexity of the whole economic system is growing. For better understanding how a business can be permanently enhanced and optimized, the students from higher education institutions must learn how to design a functional business model and how to improve an existing one, process by process, using specialized software tools. As the insertion rate on labor market upon graduation must be increased, having such knowledge on Business Process Modelling and Business Process Management can turn into some of the possible success key factors for obtaining a better paid job. Therefore, including in the curricula the required disciplines for providing this kind of competences can be considered of a crucial importance in any university that aims to contribute on the current economic environment with a better prepared human resource. Thus, the article discusses the use of Adonis CE as a proper software tool for business process modelling through Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0 international standard, and analyses the forthcoming benefits of using such specialized software tools for business modelling in the work with students from universities that have included in their curricula also disciplines in the field of businesses.
