Abstract:
Currently, training specialists in the field of international diplomacy is an actual trend in higher education. As practice shows, it is not enough just to have a good command of a foreign language in order to produce effective texts. The success of the performance is influenced by additional factors (rhetoric, kinesics, psychology, extralinguistic knowledge, etc.). The process of careful preparation of the text is an integral part of successful public speaking, one of the goals of which is to get the attention of the audience. The presented article deals with linguistic knowledge and competences necessary for professional work with the text of the official public speech at the stages of its written and oral production, and also proposes a model of training specialists in the field of conference diplomacy to create texts of official speeches. The model described in this article and its technological support are created with the purpose of forming abilities, competencies and personal qualities that allow specialists to build themselves as a national in terms of mentality and a global in terms of competency personality within the framework of the life and professional development program. The presented model is approved and successfully implemented at the Faculty of Philology and the Institute of Continuing Education and Staff Retraining at RUDN University (Moscow, Russia).
