Abstract:
Modern organizations are focused on sustainable development implementation, as the triple bottom model shows. Economic, social and environment dimensions of the organization’s activity (processes, product and service development and deliverer) are considered in an integrated manner with responsibility by all categories of human resources. Today, quality, safety and environment are pillars of modern organization development and they have to be nurtured through the human resources management strategies (human resources development sub-strategy).

Quality assurance, quality management trainings planning and implementation have to support the integrated management system in an organization. Sometime the training programs effects are not well underlined, in a short time in the organizational processes; human resources as trainees fail in quick implementation of new knowledge in the organizational practice. Furthermore, the human resources investment in this case does not have the expected efficiency and effectiveness. The main effects are recognized in slowing the organization sustainable development.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) trainings are more focused on risk management problems (in general terms and regarding their level and impact effect evaluation) and they do not present the big picture: OHS role in building sustainable workplaces (clean and safety). In addition, OHS training programs issues are not linked with quality management and with organization’s management system.
The above problems has been identified and synthesis as knowledge based on previous case studies in the field of quality assurance trainings and OHS trainings separately. In addition, in the literature there have been identified a possible common or joint training program (combining quality assurance and OHS topics in the context of the integrated management system implementation and the sustainable development strategy) that has been generalized in the nursing field. For other type of organizations, such approach has not been applied.

In this context, the paper presents the framework of a propose quality and safety assurance education program that has been proposed on Romanian market. This is the result of a collaborative approach of two training companies that have established a market alliance in order to better satisfy their customers. The training subjects are explained based on a market analysis that underlines the training needs. The expected impact of the training program, at the organizational level is related to the improvement of human resources engagement in total quality management, but also to the OHS guidelines appliance. Both actions are convergent on the sustainable workplace concept implementation.
