Abstract:
The Internet is an integral part of people's lives. This statement is valid more and more often, especially in connection with an emerging phenomenon known as Industry 4.0. Avoiding the use of online technology will become more and more difficult.
With regard to the amount of information, it can be argued that our virtual life is significantly more and better monitored than our real one, which is a fact that carries risks with it. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the young generation for the threats that will in fact affect them.
The present paper analyses in detail the potential risks and possible benefits associated with the digital identity, as this can concurrently be a useful tool, in particular in the individualization of internet services. It also deals with specific examples used to illustrate individual phenomena associated with the digital identity. Attention is also paid to the inclusion of this topic in school teaching. Keywords:
