Abstract:
Since the beginning of the decade, Brazil has been investing in stocks for regulating the supply of distance education in the country. However, in the planning of courses, most of them are focused on the traditional paradigm of teaching and learning, without making use of the potential of communication and interaction promoted by the internet. On the other hand, there are several educational experiences based on the principle of collaboration, being the guardians the responsibility for mediating the process of knowledge construction. Authors such as Smith (2003, 2008), Behrens (2008), Oliveira et al (2008), Masetto (2008) argue that the mediation of tutors adds a difference to the learning process, because it enhances the interaction between students and the construction and validation knowledge collectively. This article presents reflections on the importance of mediation of the tutors of distance education. Such reflections are a part of a study that discusses the ongoing mediation of collaborative learning in e-learning from the perception of distance tutors. Keywords:
