Abstract:
While it is an oft stated fact that training is crucial to stay ahead of the curve within professional settings, its important cannot be overstated in space technologies domain. As Turkey is building up capabilities in this domain using its national resources, it is critical for the researchers in the space technologies field to be equipped with state-of-the-art information and technologies.

The aim of this research is to carry out a study with regards to the management process of the inservice training activities carried out in the space technologies domain in Turkey. Case study model is adopted in this research, in which qualitative data collection technique is used. Working group is composed of TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute (TUBITAK UZAY) researchers who are active in space technologies domain. Maximum variation sampling is used in this research as one of the purposive sampling methodologies. Research data are collected via through face to face interviews with participants by the researcher herself. Data collected in this research are analyzed through content analysis.

The results of this study suggest that; factors like more frequent internal trainings, stakeholders partnership in space domain, effective budget planning and efficient use of information technologies to distribute materials to all relevant researchers will further the success of the training management process.
