Abstract:
The present case study aims at analyzing the diversity in one group of students of English as a Second Language in Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. The analysis will help to detect the needs of the group which, at the same time, are sure to provide the keys for the development of an adapted learning process. Despite diversity, the elaboration of an adapted program intended for the knowledge acquisition of every single student in the English group is required. In this sense, it is first important to analyze the level of English of the individuals within the group and their degree of motivation, as well as their possible difficulties when learning a second language. Not in vain, how and who does actually learn within the group is a basic question to be asked. Then, it is necessary to consider the implications of the results obtained in order to meet the needs detected thanks to an alternative learning process. Keywords:
